Funky Frenchie

Hi everyone, I hope y'all are having a great week!

Today, I have a super quick post.

I haven't done a funky frenchie in a while. For this I used a red creme as my base color and did the tips with gold and black. I love this mani! It reminds me of the Nutcracker. The red is a classic red, I just love it! Everyone should have a classic red in her stash! The gold is a color I'm working on and the black is a creme I made last month.

I hope you like it!

Don't forget it's Thankful Thursday! WOOT WOOT! Take just a quick second and tell someone thank you or just stop and smell the roses.

Have a great day!

It's Hump Day!

Hi y'all! I hope you all are having a great week! I know I've MIA for a while, work has been keeping me busy, busy, busy!

Just a quick post.

I wanted something bright and fun for today's mani. What could be more fun than yellow and red! The yellow base coat I made last summer. I've shown a similar version of it before. I used two coats and used one of Athens' glitter creations. And, just because, I decided to do an accent finger in black. I used two coats of glitter on the yellow and one coat of the black.

Have a great day!

Polish Us Pink

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. It was a busy, tiring, yet refreshing weekend for me. Friday, my bff and I attended Oprah's Lifeclass featuring Joel Osteen. It was so AWESOME! It's going to air October 28th. Make sure to watch, it's going to be great! Then, later that evening my friend Erika and I attended Lakewood Church's Fashion Event sponsored by Dillards Department Store. Oh, a shout out to the Grand Lady! She makes homemade body scrubs, body oils, and soaps. Awesome lady she is. I talked to her briefly about Funky Nails and some things I want to do. She gave me a suggestion on how to do what I want to do. While I only spoke to her briefly, I was impressed that she would help someone she doesn't know. A woman uplifting her sister is what I'm gonna call it. :D Saturday, Erika and I went back (it was a 2 day event) to hear Christine Caine from Australia. She was just AWESOME! She has an awesome testimony and powerful message. If you haven't heard of her, she's worth the google search. Sunday, I went back to church. Wow, I've never in my life been to church 3 days in a row. Yay, Minnie! As you can see I was busy, busy, busy! Ok, on to the post.

As most of us know October is breast cancer awareness month. So, to raise awareness myself and many other lovely lady bloggers are Participating in Polish Us Pink. I cannot stress enough the importance of mammograms and self self exams. Let's all do our part and spread the awareness. If you or anyone you know needs information about breast cancer you can click on the links below to take you directly to their sites.

Today's mani is quite the opposite of last weeks soft romantic pink. This is a sheer black base with pink glass fleck and magenta hex glitter. Quite sexy. I don't know why but as soon as I put this on Santana's Maria Maria came to mind. I wanted to put on some black fishnet stocking and stilettos. Haha! Ok, on to the mani. Pictures do not do this mani justice, the pink glass fleck just sparkles like no tomorrow! I used a black base color, one coat of this and topped with Poshe TC. I'm using the same pic twice just rotated because it seems to bring out the colors in a different way.

Have a great day! D

Every Woman Swatches

Hi everyone, I hope you all are having a Terrific Tuesday and had a great weekend. I've been so busy the last few days.

Saturday, was a day filled with parties. Sunday and Monday I was labeling bottles, setting up store, swatching, and buying supplies. Today, I have to finish labeling bottles, inventory bottles, print business cards, and figure out this shipping matrix, make 75 bottles of polish, swatch four more polishes. Not too much. LOL Anyway, you all don't want to hear all the boring details, on to the post.

I realized, I haven't properly swatched the Every Woman Collection. Yesterday was an awesome swatch day. The sun was shining, providing me with the perfect time to swatch these for you. Sara over at Lacquer Addictions will have swatches of this collection, Lifes Styles of the Rich and Famous, and For the Troops on Saturday.

All pics are 2 coats with SV BC and no top coat. Each pic is in direct sunlight and shade, with the exception of Chic. I didn't ad it because the shade pic was more accurate.

Vibrant is a classic red with holo glitter.

Diva is a black purple with purple and red shimmer.

Daring is a seaweed green with green shifting to blue shimmer.

Exhilarating is pink with pink and purple simmer.

Chic is a tan nude with gold shimmer.

Have a great day! :D
